Manny Sanchez is
a graduate from the University of Central Florida receiving
a bachelor’s
of arts degree in Anthropology.
“Anthropology
is an interesting field which inquires how people interact with
one another while observing cultural aspects
such as their government, religions, agriculture and medicines.”
He also attended
the University of New Mexico’s master’s
graduate program where he changed his educational interests
to exercise physiology and nutrition. An avid exercise and
sports enthusiast, he participated in collegiate football at
UCF, participates in local running events, soccer matches,
and
exercises regularly
at the gym. Living a healthy, moderate lifestyle, he finds
time to investigate the current advancements in nutrition
and supplementation fields.
“Essentially,
nutrition is the biochemical foundation of our physical
being. The kinds of food we regularly eat are manifested
in our appearance. Thereby, you are what you eat!”
With his educational background in anthropology, he enjoys researching
the healthy interactions that vitamins, minerals, and herbs have
on the body.
“Naturally,
food and medicine has always been an important key to the survival
of a society. As such, much has been learned
from cultural studies pertaining to the cultural uses of foods
and/or herbs.”
Although healthy nutrition is important, Manny maintains the use
of supplements (such as herbs, vitamins, etc.) as an aid towards
maintaining good health. Manny also views exercise as an essential
factor to a healthy body.
“Today
technology (such as computers, mechanical equipment, etc.)
has improved
our mode of living; however what has deteriorated
is our physical state of health. There is less physical exertion
needed, whereas before, work was manual labor.”
